This guide explains how to assign roles to existing users and automate workflows on your platform. Learn how to assign roles based on delivery roles and countries, and how to automate the workflow for efficient task assignment.
Assigning Roles to Users
Step 1: You will be able to do this, in the settings tab on your platform.
Step 2: Here, you can add options to assign roles based on the role in delivery and the countries assigned to the users. Depending on the different roles, tasks, and instructions will automatically be assigned to the users based on the workflows.
Automating Workflows
After mapping the users, you can ensure the workflow is correctly predefined. This will trigger a set of instructions based on the type of delivery.
Step 3: To do this, you can access your predefined workflow in your Trade Lanes Tab. Here you will see the set of instructions and steps comprised in your workflows.
Step 4: For Sword, for example, the delivery to always triggered by Primavera. Holocene is preset to capture the information and trigger the workflow with a set of predesigned instructions, such as detecting and including Serial Numbers automatically.
Step 5: You will notice that depending on the type of transport (parcel or air freight), it triggers a personalized and different set of steps.
Step 6: You can personalize the workflow by adding or removing steps instructions based on the specific documents needed for your workflow.
Step 7: Once all instructions are completed, you can even set the delivery to dispatch itself automatically or to be shared with the customer automatically.
Adapting Automation Based on Specific Requests
Step 9: In the Automation tab, you can trigger specific tasks based on specific customer requests. For instance, for a shipment to the US, you can set the the system to to automatically add a proforma invoice or to allow the attachment of material safety data sheets to dangerous goods and so on.
