How to book parcels using Holocene

This guide outlines the process of booking a parcel shipment via Holocene:

In it, you will find relevant information on how the process is triggered from your ERP to Holocene.

Additionally, you will learn how to:

  • Select a provider and service

  • Booking transportation

  • Send necessary documents to the logistics provider.

Step 1: The information is triggered via ERP in your Holocene account. This allows Holocene to create the delivery based on your order.

Step 2: After the Warehouse Step is completed, the order will be triggered for your Logistics Team, who will be able to book edit logistics details and book the transport.

Please note that for the booking options to be activated, all relevant information, along with the required documents for the shipment, should be attached to your delivery.

Step 3: Click on Book Transportation and select the desired provider and service. The transport will be booked, and the Booking Label will be generated in a matter of seconds.

Step 4: The Booking Label will be attached along with the other documents on Holocene, so that you can check details and share using the sharing feature.

Step 5: Check the details on your Label. You can also rotate, annotate or print it.

Step 6: Click on Send your documents to the logistics provider.

Here, you will be able to select individually which documents you wish to share with your provider, such as the commercial invoice and packing list.

Step 7: Click on Dispatch Delivery. This will trigger the next step of the automation, allowing your shipments to be individually tracked and consolidated in your control tower.

Please note that you can configure your trade lanes are configured to dispatch deliveries automatically, once transport is booked and documents are shared with providers.
